Alex is a writer, content creator and television presenter in Canada. Illest is a regular presenter on MTV Canada/Logo TV's late-night talk show 1 Girl 5 Gays and is regularly featured on and contributes to LGBTQ related podcasts and vlogs.
 
With a passion for equality and human rights; Alex is involved in a number of projects to promote social cohesion and the celebration of diversity. As an influencer in Canada, Alex is active on social media and uses his position to support LGBTQ people coming out. Illest has significant experience of mentoring LGBTQ people who are seeking a career in broadcast media.
 
Alex joined the Equality Council in 2016 and leads our Equality Concern project working to increase LGBTQ visibility in media.
